A post-doctoral position is available to clone and characterize Transient Receptor Potential cation channels from Aplysia. Applicants should have a PhD and be proficient in molecular biology. Although the candidate is expected to apply for external funding, the position is fully-funded by supervisor-derived support.
Research training possibilities include cell culture, molecular biology, electrophysiology, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, imaging (intracellular calcium, epifluorescence), and capacitance tracking.
