A new position for a postdoctoral associate is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Jens Herberholz in the Psychology Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. Our research combines traditional and novel research technologies to investigate neural mechanisms underlying social behavior, decision-making processes and behavioral choice in crayfish. The position is available for two years with the possibility of extension. A degree of PhD or equivalent doctoral degree (in a relevant discipline) and previous experience with behavioral analysis and/or neurophysiological methods is required. Expertise with structural or functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging is desirable.
