The access to the Aplysia (whole genome shotgun) WGS database has changed. You may still be able to use the old link below, but there may be difficulties. The current access that is recommended as of Feb, 2011 is:
http://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi?PAGE_TYPE=BlastSearch&PAGE=MegaB...
Why the site for the WGS blast has changed is unclear.

Email from Jessica Alfoldi at Broad Institute on Jan 25, 2011
Hello everyone, I just wanted to give you all an update on the Aplysia genome project. As I'm sure you know, none of us have been terribly happy about the state of the Aplysia genome assembly. The Broad Institute recently sequenced some Aplysia BACs derived from sperm and concluded from comparing that sequence to the genome assembly that difficulty with the assembly derived from a extremely high level of transposons and simple sequence repeats. We are beginning a new, all-Illumina genome sequencing project in the hopes that the lack of dependence on bacterial cloning will result in an improved genome assembly. We will also be doing a parallel RNA-seq project using a panel of RNAs provided by Leonid Moroz. I'll keep you posted on the status of this project as we pass our various milestones. Best, Jessica Alfoldi
